Arriving in the Now: a Nine Minute Occurrence for Two Strangers in a U-Haul Truck
A project by being:sound
“Something that changes our way of seeing the streets is more important than something that changes our way of seeing paintings” Guy Debord
A U-haul truck is rented. A situation is created. A story is told. Something is revealed. We arrive in the now.

being:sound (Mary Frisbee and Joro De Boro) is a project that uses sound as a tool for mindfulness.
being:sound explores the intersection of sound story presence and relating to one-self, to one’s environment and to others.
being:sound takes many different forms depending on the context. The two current iterations are Ritual Bass a sound meditation merging the use of acoustic instruments with deep electronic sub bass and an Interactive Sound Experience for one or several participants that opens up awareness to the mysteries present in everyday life.
being:sound uses a diverse ray of tools informed by a minimal aesthetic to bring attention to the experience of sound as being.
