From April 29- May 1, 2016,  Pro Arts will host South Korean-born artist Hye Young Kim as she presents Intimate Distance in Oakland to captures the psychological intimate moment by insisting that participants interact at unusually close physical distances–whether friends, family, or complete strangers–to reveal and artificially construct relationship dynamics. On Friday and Saturday, Kim will be in Frank H. Ogawa Plaza asking people to participate, recording their experiences to then project them at Pro Arts Gallery. On Sunday, May 1st, she will move to Jack London Square to continue collecting intimate moments as part of East Bay Gives.

Pro Arts teams up with the Great Wall of Oakland to present this emotional experience.
