Pro Arts is pleased to announce East Bay Open Studios during the first
two weekends in June: June 2 - 3 and June 9 - 10, 2007. The Preview
Exhibition is held at Pro Arts May 3 - June 10, 2007. The EBOS Preview
Gala and Benefit is Thursday, May 31, 2007 6 - 8pm and is immediately
followed by the Artists' Reception, 8 - 10pm FREE. Advance tickets for
the Gala available, $55 General, $20 Artist. Proceeds benefit the Youth
Fellows Initiative.
EBOS is the region's largest art event featuring over 400 artists. Artist
listing & entry includes an artist listing in The Directory of East Bay
Arts, exhibition space in the Preview Exhibition, professional development
workshops and networking events for artists, promotional materials for
distribution, inclusion in the online gallery hosted by Pro Arts and more.
The Directory of East Bay Arts, formerly the Map & Directory, is the
definitive guide to the visual arts in the East Bay. This annual publication
includes full color artist listings and maps to highlight the region's
working artists and facilitate free self-guided tours of artist studios
in East Bay area cities such as Berkeley, Oakland, Emeryville, Alameda,
Richmond, Martinez and Walnut Creek. The Directory is inserted into the
East Bay Express, May 30, 2007, circulated throughout the greater Bay
Area and available at Pro Arts, galleries, cafes, bookstores, and other
arts venues from April to June.
EBOS is produced by Pro Arts, the East Bay's largest member-driven community arts organization. Pro Arts has a membership of more than 1000 artists and supporters.
Additionally, Pro Arts produces the Brake for Art: Art Bus Tour featuring
select artists from East Bay Open Studios. This event offers private previews
of artists' studios, wine and refreshments on Friday, June 1, 2007, 6
- 9pm. Advance tickets available, $75 per person. Proceeds from this event
benefit the Youth Fellows Initiative.
